Sand Castles
Immanuel R. Knight
No parcel of land here is worth disputing
No brick nor bundle worth the feuding
Like sand in water it all shall pass
Only love will live and forever last
What children are we to fight and bicker
Must we beckon our mother all the quicker?
The shadow of the valley is dark indeed
Though I tell you now, our mother will heed
Go ahead and build your castles of sand
Fight and feud over strips of land
But at the end her waves will wash
Just sit and see, wait and watch
